We're constantly blown away by the incredible diversity of guests who rent a cabin at Wellnesste Lodge and come to Central New York for a myriad of reasons. We have single travelers who are roaming their way across the country in search of a cozy cabin to "chill out" in for a few days while they explore the back roads of the NY. Hearing their stories, sharing a drink around the campfire or seeing photos from their travels is always a fun time. We have couples who rent a comfortable cabin and sit by the fire at night just looking to unwind from their hectic lives in the business world in places like New York City, Rochester, Buffalo, Albany, Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia and others. These cabin rental adventurers truly appreciate a little peace and quiet and often comment on how rejuvenated and relaxed they feel after their visit.

Another group of guests that visit Wellnesste Lodge in Taberg, NY on a regular basis are families with kids and dogs. Since we offer dog friendly/ pet friendly accommodations (cabin rentals) we often have families who come with their children and bring along the family dog. There's nothing better than to watch laughing children running around freely with their favorite furry friend by their side. Most dogs and their owners love to hike the trails and play in the river during the hot summer months. In other seasons, quiet walks here and there together without the need for a leash is a pleasant opportunity to enjoy the great Upstate New York outdoors together (a relaxing family getaway that everyone can appreciate).

For me as a host, one of the pleasures that I most appreciate is seeing how our cabin rental guests connect to nature and the natural beauty in our area. So many people get "disconnected" from the great outdoors and nature in their lives and having a few days surrounded by woods, the river, ponds, trails and so much more allows them to explore, enjoy and reconnect. That connection to something greater than ourselves is something that money just can't buy!
